STRANGER
I’m looking through the trees.
I’m looking at the sky.
Where is my home?
Where am I?
Night is thick
and Night is bare.
“Come on, let me show you.”
I hear her say.
Stars and moon,
everynight you wait.
Wait for me
to pick up my next fate.
Then the endless sky
falls apart.
In the big hole
I see the light -
A new world,
a new life and try:
The sun is shining bright.
People feeling happy
without any sign
of inner fight.
Perfect day seems to be the name.
But I don’t fit,
don’t fit again!
My mind does struggle.
As hot as the beaches
is my desire
To fly away...
The Night, long and lonely
does not hesitate
“No reason to be afraid.”
I hear her say.
And we commence
our nightly game.
We play and play
till comes the light –
A new world,
a new life and try:
Foggy clouds mount the dismal hills.
People are as warped as those leafless trees
living here…
for so many years.
Melancholy seems to be the name.
But I don’t fit,
don’t fit again!
My soul here
does not rest.
I’m feeling so empty
on today’s quest…
The silver knights,
your servants, Night,
are coming close.
They are so powerful,
they fight against
the darkness’ ghost.
On their horses,
we reach the light –
A new world,
a new life and try:
Watching from behind a desk –
proud young students laugh and talk.
In these school halls
people of success walk.
Energy seems to be the name.
But I don’t fit,
don’t fit again!
To get away,
I would be so glad.
It’s so crowded with smart thoughts
I can’t even take a breath…
I call; then shout:
“Today’s deed is done”
I rely on the one
who does the everynight magic,
whose head is the Night sun.
On her back
I ride again
towards the light –
A new world,
a new life and try…
Day after day I’m living.
Calling for home,
but like a stranger always feeling.
Did I break any law?
Why can’t I find the place
I have always sought?
Nobody bothers to say.
I’m in a lifelong fight –
a fight so important –
for the place that’s for me the right.
Through a forest leads a path.
Leaves as colourful as the rising sun.
Soon they will be hidden
in the Night.
Before, to my home
I’m going to come.
But then I look through the trees.
And I look at the sky…
Where is my home?
Where am I?
